Total third party sales for the Xbox 360 since launch is currently 67,929,999 units, followed by the Wii at 33,394,311 units and the PlayStation 3 at 19,976,325 units.

Metal Gear Solid 4 has only managed 2.7m sales in 2 months.
Very low sales, they even bundled it with console.
Even without Japan, the 360 continues to dominate worldwide sales in hardware and software!

The problem was the beta testers are like sonarus, LenHart, Condeleezza Rice.
Nothing ever goes wrong with their PS3's. So all the beta users got bricked machines and couldn't admit Sony did something wrong.
They said it's amazing and works 100%, so Sony released bugged firmware and now we see the result.

Most of the posters above have proven time and time again they can't be trusted. Read their comments, boodybandit, Condoleezza Rice etc etc. They have magic PS3's that always work 455% of the time.
Also I don't recall gamesblow/Sev something telling people here his PS3 got bricked. He posted on several other forums about 2 weeks ago, explaining the problem but got no useful advice. In the end he had to send off his beloved PS3.
Wonder if he got a 40gb as replace...
At least Microsoft tests it's firmware before release, to prevent this from happening. Still, I thought you PS3 owners would be used to this by now.
Also gamesblow's PS3 was bricked by a recent update.
Just a matter of time before they hack your PS3 directly.
The Super Stardust patch comes in at 255mb. Better buy another HDD, as the Metal Gear update will probably be 3.1GB and add another 7 minutes of installs between chapters.
